Ascension LLC is seeking a creative and technically skilled Video Producer to support transportation planning initiatives through high-quality visual storytelling and multimedia production. This role is critical in translating complex transportation policies, planning studies, and public outreach campaigns into engaging, accessible video and digital media content that informs and connects with diverse stakeholder audiences.

The ideal candidate is a strategic visual communicator who understands how to bridge technical subject matter with compelling narratives. This individual will play a key role in enhancing public engagement, supporting planning transparency, and ensuring that transportation initiatives are clearly communicated to the public, decision-makers, and community stakeholders.


Position Summary

The Video Producer will be responsible for planning, developing, and producing professional-grade video and photography content in support of transportation planning studies and public outreach campaigns. Working under the direction of project leadership, this role will support the creation of multimedia products that communicate planning concepts, policy initiatives, and program updates in a clear, creative, and impactful manner.

This role requires a balance of technical production expertise and creative direction, along with the ability to operate in a dynamic, stakeholder-driven environment. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple production timelines while maintaining high-quality standards.

The Video Producer will leverage industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, digital video equipment, and multimedia editing platforms to produce content aligned with client objectives. The role supports broader program goals by improving public understanding, stakeholder engagement, and transparency in transportation planning processes.


Key Responsibilities / Day-to-Day Activities

  • Plan, develop, and produce high-quality video and multimedia content to support transportation planning studies and outreach campaigns
  • Collaborate with project managers, planners, and stakeholder engagement teams to translate technical concepts into visual narratives
  • Capture and edit video footage, interviews, b-roll, and photography for use across multiple platforms
  • Design and produce motion graphics, animations, and visual storytelling elements to enhance communication effectiveness
  • Manage all aspects of video production lifecycle including pre-production, production, and post-production
  • Develop storyboards, scripts, and production plans aligned with project goals and messaging strategies
  • Ensure all media products are compliant with Section 508 accessibility requirements and public communication standards
  • Maintain and manage digital media assets, including organizing footage libraries and ensuring version control
  • Coordinate with outreach teams to support public meetings, workshops, and virtual engagement events with multimedia content
  • Edit and optimize content for various platforms including web, social media, and presentation formats
  • Ensure brand consistency and alignment with client communication guidelines and messaging frameworks
  • Troubleshoot technical production issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs
