Ascension LLC is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to support enterprise-level Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform services within a federal environment. This role is critical to advancing mission-focused digital transformation initiatives by designing, developing, and optimizing Salesforce-based solutions that enhance customer engagement, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

This role directly supports Ascension’s core capabilities in Agile Development, Data & Technology Innovation, and Business Process Automation, leveraging platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Power Platform, and enterprise integration tools to deliver measurable outcomes.


Position Summary

The Senior Salesforce Developer serves as a technical subject matter expert and hands-on developer, responsible for designing, developing, and deploying Salesforce solutions that support complex business processes and customer engagement strategies.

This role will support system enhancements, integrations, automation, and performance optimization efforts, ensuring alignment with federal security, compliance, and data governance standards.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with business and mission requirements
  • Develop custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce
  • Configure Salesforce objects, workflows, validation rules, and automation processes
  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms
  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and program managers to refine requirements
  • Lead technical design sessions and contribute to architectural decisions
  • Support parallel development streams across multiple Agile teams
  • Perform code reviews, testing, and deployment activities using CI/CD pipelines
  • Troubleshoot system issues and implement performance improvements
  • Ensure compliance with federal security standards and data governance policies
  • Document system architecture, technical designs, and development processes
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams
