Job Overview

Ascension LLC is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to support the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) in contracting and procurement activities. In this essential role, you will manage the entire contract lifecycle from pre-solicitation to post-award administration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with federal contracting and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with FAR regulations, USCG policies, and managing all aspects of the procurement process. Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Contract Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Pre-solicitation Support: Conduct market research, prepare FAR Part 6 Justifications, assist in acquisition planning, and provide support for pre-solicitation documentation.
  • Solicitation Phase: Draft solicitations, respond to FOIA requests, assist with cost/benefit analyses, and manage the documentation configuration during the Government review process.
  • Post-award Administration: Oversee contract compliance, track deliverables, invoice reconciliation, and ensure timely FPDS-NG reporting.
  • Contract Closeout: Ensure all contract files are in order, manage payment reconciliations, and support claims and equitable adjustment requests.
  • Support Senior Leadership: Assist with calendar management, briefing preparation, and travel coordination for the leadership team.
  • Automation and Reporting: Utilize SharePoint, Power BI, and other tools to automate business processes and generate insightful reports for leadership and stakeholders.

Desired SkillsExperience with DHS or USCG contracts is preferred. Strong project management and change management skills. | Proficient in data analysis, report generation, and use of SharePoint/ Power BI for contract data tracking and visualization. Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and lead contracting negotiations with minimal supervision. | Additional certifications in PMP, ITIL, or Agile methodologies are a plus.
