Ascension is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Lead to support mission-critical government programs through advanced data analysis, performance measurement, reporting, and executive decision support. The ideal candidate will transform complex program data into actionable insights by developing KPI frameworks, dashboards, analytical products, and performance reports that enable leadership to monitor outcomes, identify improvement opportunities, and make informed strategic decisions.

Summary of Contractor Role
The Senior Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Lead provides enterprise-level analytical support to evaluate program performance, identify trends, improve operational decision-making, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The position supports activities including KPI development, performance analytics, dashboard development, recurring and ad hoc reporting, data quality analysis, and executive-level briefings. The role requires the ability to integrate information from multiple data sources, analyze program performance against established goals, and develop clear visualizations and recommendations.
The ideal candidate will support government stakeholders by applying analytical methodologies, business intelligence tools, and performance management practices to improve visibility into program outcomes and operational effectiveness.
Position Day-to-Day Activities
The Senior Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Lead will:
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and performance reporting products.
- Analyze program data to identify trends, risks, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Design and implement KPI frameworks aligned with organizational objectives.
- Collect, cleanse, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Develop recurring and ad hoc analytical reports to support leadership decision-making.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear executive briefings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define analytical requirements and reporting needs.
- Develop data visualization products using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Support performance measurement activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop analytical models and reporting methodologies to improve organizational visibility.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings to understand business challenges and refine analytics solutions.
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and written analytical summaries for senior leadership.
- Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights.
