Ascension is seeking an experienced Reporting Site Developer to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Office of Finance and Accounting by designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing financial reporting solutions that enable accurate financial management, operational visibility, and data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate is a highly analytical Business Intelligence professional with experience developing enterprise financial reports, dashboards, and data visualization solutions using tools such as Qlik Sense, QlikView, Oracle reporting environments, SQL, and business intelligence platforms.
This individual will support mission-critical financial management operations by transforming complex financial system data into accurate, accessible, and actionable reporting products. The candidate should understand federal financial management environments, reporting validation processes, data quality controls, and the relationship between financial systems, reporting platforms, and business users.
The successful candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a complex government financial environment. The individual should be capable of translating business reporting needs into technical solutions while collaborating with financial analysts, system administrators, and functional stakeholders.
Summary of Contractor Role
The Reporting Site Developer provides technical expertise supporting the development, maintenance, validation, and enhancement of financial reporting solutions supporting IHS Unified Financial Management System (UFMS), Financial Business Intelligence System (FBIS), Oracle Hyperion, and related reporting environments.
The contractor will develop financial reports, dashboards, queries, and visualization products that support General Ledger operations, financial close activities, audit readiness, management reporting, and operational decision-making.
The role requires expertise in business intelligence development, reporting architecture, SQL/query development, data analysis, and dashboard visualization. The Reporting Site Developer will ensure reporting products accurately represent financial data, comply with reporting requirements, and provide reliable information to IHS financial managers and stakeholders.

Position Day-to-Day Activities
The Reporting Site Developer will:
- Develop and maintain enterprise financial reports supporting UFMS, FBIS, and Hyperion reporting requirements.
- Design, build, and enhance Qlik Sense and QlikView dashboards to support financial operations and management decision-making.
- Analyze financial reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical reporting solutions.
- Develop SQL queries, data extracts, and reporting datasets to support financial analysis and operational reporting.
- Validate financial reporting outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with source system data.
- Perform data analysis to identify reporting discrepancies, trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support migration of existing reports and dashboards into updated reporting environments.
- Conduct testing of reports, dashboards, and reporting enhancements prior to deployment.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues and coordinate resolution with functional and technical teams.
- Support General Ledger reporting activities, including financial close and audit support reporting requirements.
- Develop documentation including report specifications, user guides, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with financial analysts, system administrators, developers, and government stakeholders to improve reporting capabilities.
- Support data integrity monitoring activities by validating reporting outputs against UFMS, Hyperion, FBIS, and related financial systems.
