Operations Research / Management Analyst I 2026P-0451
Protect our Land, Ascend with Us!
Ascension is seeking an entry-level Operations Research / Management Analyst I to support IT research and advisory service coordination for a DHS CISA-related effort. This role is best suited for a detail-oriented, organized, and responsive professional who can help coordinate research licenses, schedule advisory sessions, track meetings and deliverables, capture clear notes, and support smooth communication between Ascension, partner subject matter experts, and Government stakeholders.
This position supports a requirement focused on licensed access to IT research, executive-level advice, research reports, advisory calls, workshops, and technology strategy support for CISA leadership. The SOW states that CISA requires access to an online research database and service delivery team to support operational and program decisions, including research advisors, events, workshops, leadership development research, best practices, metrics data, and written research reports.
The ideal candidate does not need to be a senior IT strategist. Ascension needs a dependable operational support professional who can keep the coordination, scheduling, documentation, and follow-up process organized so that senior advisors and license holders can focus on higher-value research, advisory, and roadmap activities.
Summary of the Contractor Role
The Operations Research / Management Analyst I will provide operational, administrative, and analytical coordination support for license management, advisory session scheduling, workshop logistics, note capture, action item tracking, and status reporting. The position will help ensure that CISA license holders receive timely access to the required research services, that advisory calls and workshops are scheduled and documented, and that reports, meeting summaries, and follow-up actions are tracked through completion.
The requirement includes up to seven users receiving licensed access to an online IT research database covering IT products, services, processes, metrics, roles/functions, cloud computing, mobility, infrastructure, cybersecurity, portfolio management, applications, telecommunications, and government IT trends. The requirement also includes advisory calls or meetings approximately ten times per license per year, annual workshops, written reports, and review/comment support for strategy documents.
This role supports those activities by maintaining the operational rhythm: calendars, trackers, meeting notes, action items, report status, license assignment records, and communications. The successful candidate should be comfortable working remotely, following established processes, managing multiple moving parts, and documenting information accurately.
