Ascension is seeking a Junior Program Analyst (Project Support & Reporting) to support federal mission programs through structured analysis, reporting, documentation, and project coordination activities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and organized analyst who can translate program information into clear reports, dashboards, briefings, and decision-support materials. The successful candidate will support program managers, government stakeholders, and technical teams by collecting information, monitoring activities, identifying trends, maintaining project documentation, and helping improve business processes.

This role is well suited for candidates who want to develop experience in federal consulting, program management support, business analysis, and data-driven decision support while contributing to mission-critical government programs.


Summary of Contractor Role

The Junior Program Analyst provides analytical and administrative program support throughout the program and project lifecycle. The contractor assists with collecting, organizing, analyzing, and presenting program information to support leadership decision-making, project execution, and performance monitoring.

The position supports activities such as requirements tracking, program reporting, performance metric development, meeting coordination, documentation management, research, and preparation of executive briefings. The analyst works with project managers, subject matter experts, and government stakeholders to ensure program activities, milestones, risks, and deliverables are accurately tracked and communicated.

The successful candidate should be self-driven, organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities with limited supervision. The individual should demonstrate strong analytical thinking, professional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative government consulting environment.

Expected Day-to-Day Activities

  • Support program managers with tracking project activities, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
  • Collect, organize, validate, and analyze program data from multiple sources.
  • Develop recurring status reports, briefings, presentations, and management updates.
  • Maintain project trackers, action item logs, schedules, and documentation repositories.
  • Conduct research using available resources, interviews, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Assist with requirements gathering and documentation of business processes.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, decision logs, and follow-up actions.
  • Monitor performance metrics and assist with development of dashboards and reporting products.
  • Analyze trends and summarize findings to support leadership decision-making.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), templates, and process documentation.
  • Support Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), working groups, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Perform quality reviews of documents, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows.
  • Assist with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and collaboration tool administration activities.
