Position Summary
We’re looking for an Accessibility / QA Consultant that will serve as Ascension’s lead compliance authority responsible for verifying that the redesigned RTA website meets Section 508, ADA Title VI, and WCAG 2.1 AA standards. This role combines accessibility auditing and functional testing to ensure the website is usable, inclusive, and compliant across all devices and browsers.
Accessibility / QA Consultant Day-to-Day Activities:
- Conduct accessibility testing using automated and manual tools (axe, WAVE, NVDA).
- Validate color contrast, keyboard navigation, and screen reader compatibility.
- Perform functional QA for site navigation, forms, and dynamic data elements.
- Document compliance results and prepare a formal WCAG 2.1 AA Conformance Report.
- Provide remediation guidance and collaborate with developers on fixes.
- Conduct re-validation testing prior to site launch.

| DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS | Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) or DHS Trusted Tester certification. | Experience supporting accessibility for government or transit websites. | Strong documentation and reporting skills. |
| SUITABILITY/SECURITY RQMTS | Must be authorized to work in the United States. | Successful background check required. |
