We’re looking for a Policy Analyst / Legislative Researcher that supports the City Council’s strategic initiatives by conducting evidence-based policy research, comparative analysis, and program evaluation. This position develops legislative summaries, analytical reports, and briefing materials to inform City leadership decision-making.
Policy Analyst / Legislative Researcher Day-to-Day Activities
- Conduct research on public policy topics, ordinances, and best practices.
- Analyze data and draft reports that summarize findings and policy options.
- Support the Project Manager with task order execution and stakeholder consultations.
- Prepare written products including memos, summaries, and presentation materials.
- Assist in meeting preparation, notetaking, and follow-up documentation.
- Track and report progress across active task orders.
