Ascension is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Strategy & Analytics Advisor to provide enterprise-level guidance in transforming organizational data into actionable intelligence that supports mission outcomes. This role is designed for a senior analytics professional who can bridge the gap between business strategy, data architecture, analytics capabilities, and technology modernization.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep expertise in data strategy, enterprise analytics, business intelligence, data governance, and digital transformation. The successful candidate will help clients define analytics strategies, establish performance measurement frameworks, improve data-driven decision-making, and identify opportunities to leverage modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
This position supports complex federal mission environments where leaders require trusted analytical insights, enterprise reporting capabilities, and scalable data solutions to improve operational performance.
Summary of the Contractor Role
The Senior Data Strategy & Analytics Advisor will serve as a senior technical and functional advisor supporting enterprise data transformation initiatives. The contractor will analyze business challenges, evaluate existing data capabilities, develop data-driven strategies, and recommend solutions that improve organizational performance.
The role will support clients in establishing data governance practices, developing enterprise reporting frameworks, creating executive dashboards, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementing analytics solutions that improve transparency and decision-making.

Ascension’s experience supporting federal organizations includes data analysis, visualization development, KPI development, dashboards, SharePoint solutions, Power Platform automation, and data governance activities.
Position Day-to-Day Activities
The contractor may:
- Lead enterprise data strategy assessments to identify business objectives, data challenges, and modernization opportunities.
- Develop data strategy roadmaps aligned with organizational mission priorities.
- Analyze business processes and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Design enterprise analytics frameworks, including KPIs, performance measures, and reporting structures.
- Develop executive dashboards and visualization products using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Evaluate data sources, data quality issues, and integration opportunities.
- Establish data governance approaches, including data ownership, standards, policies, and stewardship practices.
- Translate business requirements into analytics solutions and technical recommendations.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to identify mission needs.
- Prepare executive briefings, analytical reports, recommendations, and decision-support materials.
- Support AI/ML strategy development and identify opportunities for automation and advanced analytics.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business owners, and leadership stakeholders.
- Review existing systems and recommend modernization approaches.
- Mentor analysts and support knowledge transfer activities.
