Ascension is seeking a Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect (Cyber, Data & Cloud) to provide strategic technical leadership in designing, evaluating, and guiding enterprise-scale technology solutions that support mission-critical modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, data platforms, enterprise integration, and digital transformation to help organizations transition from fragmented legacy environments into secure, scalable, and mission-aligned technology ecosystems.

This role is critical to supporting enterprise modernization efforts requiring the design of secure cloud-native architectures, data-driven platforms, API-enabled integrations, and technology solutions aligned with cybersecurity, governance, scalability, and operational objectives. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to government stakeholders, translating complex mission requirements into actionable technical strategies and architectural solutions.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can operate across business and technical domains, communicate effectively with executives and technical teams, and lead architecture decisions in complex environments involving cloud platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, enterprise data management, and emerging technologies.

Summary of Contractor Role

The Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect will provide senior-level architecture expertise supporting enterprise technology modernization, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, and data-driven solutions. The position will analyze current-state environments, define future-state architectures, develop technology roadmaps, and recommend solutions that improve scalability, security, interoperability, and mission effectiveness.

The contractor will support activities associated with enterprise architecture, cloud adoption, cybersecurity engineering, data architecture, application modernization, integration strategy, and technology governance. The role requires the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges, develop solution alternatives, and communicate recommendations to both technical teams and senior leadership.

• Enterprise cloud architecture and migration planning
• Cloud-native platform design
• Cybersecurity architecture and Zero Trust implementation strategies

Expected Position Activities

The Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect will:

• Lead enterprise architecture assessments to evaluate current-state technology environments and identify modernization opportunities.
• Design future-state enterprise architectures supporting cloud adoption, cybersecurity, data management, and application modernization initiatives.
• Develop technical architecture documentation, including solution designs, reference architectures, system diagrams, integration models, and implementation roadmaps.
• Evaluate cloud service offerings and recommend scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions.
• Develop cloud migration strategies supporting Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments.
• Define cybersecurity architecture approaches supporting identity management, access controls, encryption, security monitoring, and Zero Trust principles.
• Analyze enterprise data environments and recommend data architecture strategies supporting analytics, reporting, artificial intelligence, and machine learning capabilities.
• Develop API integration strategies that enable interoperability between legacy systems and modern platforms.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, data engineering, software development, and infrastructure teams to ensure architecture alignment.
• Conduct technical reviews and architecture governance sessions with stakeholders.
• Evaluate technical risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges and develop mitigation recommendations.
• Support development of technical requirements, statements of work, capability assessments, and acquisition documentation.
• Facilitate discussions with executive stakeholders to communicate technical strategies, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers, analysts, and project teams.
• Support Agile delivery teams by providing architecture guidance throughout solution design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
