Summary of the Contractor Role

The Systems Integration Specialist provides technical expertise supporting enterprise application integration, cloud modernization, API connectivity, automation, and platform interoperability efforts. The contractor will support the design, development, testing, implementation, and sustainment of integrated technology solutions that enable organizations to connect existing applications with modern cloud platforms and enterprise services.

For this effort, the Systems Integration Specialist may support activities associated with cloud-native platforms, enterprise document management modernization, application migration, API-first architectures, workflow automation, and data integration initiatives. The role requires the ability to analyze existing systems, identify integration requirements, configure technical solutions, and support implementation activities.

The contractor will help customers improve how systems exchange information by developing and maintaining interfaces, APIs, workflows, and integration components. The position requires strong collaboration skills because the individual will work across business and technical teams to ensure solutions meet operational requirements, security standards, and mission objectives.

Expected Day-to-Day Activities

The contractor will:

• Design and implement system integration solutions connecting enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and business systems.
• Develop, configure, and maintain APIs, interfaces, connectors, and integration workflows.
• Analyze system requirements and translate business needs into technical integration specifications.
• Support cloud-based application deployments and integration activities.
• Configure and maintain integration components supporting enterprise platforms.
• Evaluate existing applications and recommend integration approaches to improve interoperability.
• Develop technical documentation including interface specifications, architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and implementation procedures.
• Perform system testing, integration testing, and validation activities to ensure solutions operate as intended.
• Troubleshoot integration issues involving applications, databases, APIs, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application development, and business teams to implement secure solutions.
• Support automation initiatives using workflow automation and low-code/no-code platforms.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, demonstrations, technical reviews, and backlog refinement.
• Support configuration management, change management, and release activities.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
