Ascension is seeking a Business Data Analyst – Workflow & Process Improvement professional to support federal mission organizations by analyzing business processes, transforming operational data into actionable insights, and helping stakeholders improve workflows, reporting capabilities, and decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented analytical professional who can bridge the gap between business operations and technology solutions. This individual will work with stakeholders to understand mission challenges, evaluate existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and develop data-driven recommendations that enhance organizational performance.

The successful candidate will bring experience in business analysis, process improvement, data analytics, reporting, and dashboard development. The role is well suited for professionals who enjoy solving complex business problems, translating operational needs into measurable outcomes, and supporting modernization initiatives through data and process improvement.

Summary of Contractor Role

The Business Data Analyst – Workflow & Process Improvement will provide analytical and business process support to assist government clients in improving operational performance, strengthening reporting capabilities, and implementing data-informed solutions.

The contractor will analyze business workflows, collect and evaluate operational data, develop performance metrics, and create reports and dashboards that support leadership decision-making. The analyst will collaborate with program managers, technical teams, and mission stakeholders to identify business challenges, define requirements, recommend improvements, and support implementation activities.

The candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, and develop practical recommendations that align business processes with organizational goals.

This role supports Ascension’s capabilities in business intelligence, data analytics, workflow automation, business process improvement, and technology-enabled transformation.
