Ascension is seeking a Business Data Analyst III / BI Reporting Analyst to support federal IT research, executive reporting, and decision-support activities for a homeland security mission customer. This position will help translate research findings, advisory inputs, technology trend data, and stakeholder priorities into clear dashboards, briefing materials, KPI summaries, and written analytic products that support senior leadership decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a practical, detail-oriented analyst who can synthesize complex IT and business information into clear reporting products for executives, managers, and operational stakeholders. This role is important because CISA leadership requires timely, organized, and unbiased insight into technology trends, best practices, metrics, and strategic technology priorities across areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, mobility, portfolio management, telecommunications, strategic IT sourcing, network security architecture, and mobile device security.

Summary of the Contractor Role

The Business Data Analyst III / BI Reporting Analyst will support Ascension’s delivery team by developing reports, dashboards, briefing materials, analytic summaries, and decision-support tools tied to IT research and strategic advisory services. The analyst will help organize and interpret research outputs, workshop results, advisory call takeaways, technology roadmap inputs, and strategy document review findings into products that are clear, accurate, accessible, and useful for Government leadership.

This position requires a candidate who can work with limited supervision, manage multiple inputs, ask clarifying questions, and produce polished materials for executive audiences. The analyst should be comfortable working in an environment where requirements may evolve based on leadership priorities, annual workshops, advisory calls, and research topics derived from the Agency Strategic Technology Roadmap. The role requires strong writing, reporting, data visualization, stakeholder coordination, and quality-control skills.

Ascension’s GSA MAS Business Data Analyst III labor category requires a bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience. The LCAT includes data analysis, aggregation, reporting, dashboards, KPI briefings, workflow improvement plans, stakeholder meeting decks, analytic implementation memos, and decision-support models.
