Senior Governance and Target Operating Model (TOM) Architect 2026P-0303
Ascension LLC is seeking a Senior Governance and Target Operating Model (TOM) Architect to support a high-visibility organizational transformation effort for the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center’s ICBM Systems Directorate. This role will help design a unified governance framework, improve decision-making, clarify roles and authorities, and support implementation of a future-state operating model.
The ideal candidate is a senior management consultant, organizational transformation leader, or governance strategist with experience supporting federal, DoD, acquisition, sustainment, or mission-critical environments. This position requires strong executive facilitation, governance design, change management, process improvement, and strategic advisory skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design governance frameworks, decision-rights models, and escalation paths.
- Develop Target Operating Model artifacts, governance charters, and implementation roadmaps.
- Analyze organizational friction, decision latency, role ambiguity, and process inefficiencies.
- Facilitate executive workshops, stakeholder interviews, working groups, and leadership briefings.
- Define governance forums, operating boundaries, accountability structures, and sustainment practices.
- Translate findings into actionable recommendations, briefings, and transformation playbooks.
- Support change management, governance rollout, adoption planning, and implementation sequencing.
- Coordinate with human capital, organizational health, data analytics, and transformation teams.
- Prepare executive-ready deliverables using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Maintain compliance with advisory support boundaries, OCI restrictions, CUI handling, and federal consulting standards.
