Ascension LLC is seeking an experienced and highly organized Program Manager / Quality Oversight Lead to provide strategic contract oversight, quality assurance, reporting management, and Integrated Project Review (IPR) coordination support for a federal audit support services engagement supporting the Department of the Navy.

This role is ideal for a senior-level federal program management professional with demonstrated experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), or other federal mission-support environments involving program oversight, audit readiness, compliance monitoring, acquisition support, operational reporting, and quality management.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and proactive leader who thrives in dynamic and deadline-driven federal consulting environments. The successful candidate should possess strong executive communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage competing priorities while maintaining alignment with contractual requirements, customer expectations, and organizational quality standards.

The selected professional will serve as a trusted advisor to both Ascension leadership and customer stakeholders by helping ensure the successful execution of contract deliverables, quality control procedures, risk mitigation activities, and reporting requirements. This individual must be comfortable working collaboratively across functional teams while maintaining accountability for program governance, schedule oversight, and quality assurance activities.

This position requires a professional who can anticipate risks, resolve issues proactively, facilitate executive-level discussions, coordinate Integrated Project Reviews (IPRs), and support continuous process improvement initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency and mission performance.


Position Summary

The Program Manager / Quality Oversight Lead will provide part-time executive oversight and quality management support for a federal audit support services contract. The role is responsible for overseeing contract performance, monitoring quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities, supporting reporting and governance processes, coordinating Integrated Project Reviews (IPRs), and ensuring overall alignment with contractual objectives and customer expectations.

The successful candidate will support program execution activities including schedule oversight, status reporting, risk management, stakeholder coordination, deliverable review, and quality validation processes. The role requires familiarity with federal program management methodologies, audit support environments, executive reporting processes, and quality management frameworks.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and facilitation capabilities, demonstrated experience managing federal consulting engagements, and the ability to support mission-critical initiatives with minimal supervision. The candidate should also demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, discretion, analytical thinking, and strong organizational capabilities.

The position may involve coordination with executive leadership, contracting officials, customer stakeholders, technical teams, and subcontractor personnel to ensure deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with contractual and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities and Day-to-Day Activities

  • LEAD contract management and quality oversight activities for assigned federal support services engagement.
  • DEVELOP and maintain program management artifacts including schedules, trackers, status reports, and action item logs.
  • COORDINATE weekly program reviews, Integrated Project Reviews (IPRs), executive briefings, and customer status meetings.
  • MONITOR contract performance metrics and ensure deliverables align with contractual requirements and quality standards.
  • REVIEW deliverables, reports, briefing materials, and supporting documentation for quality, accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • SUPPORT quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes across program activities.
  • IDENTIFY project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop mitigation recommendations.
  • TRACK program milestones, deadlines, and reporting requirements to ensure timely execution.
  • FACILITATE communication between Ascension leadership, customer stakeholders, subcontractors, and project personnel.
  • PREPARE executive-level reports, dashboards, briefing materials, and meeting summaries.
  • SUPPORT process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • ENSURE adherence to federal policies, contractual obligations, and organizational governance standards.
  • MAINTAIN documentation repositories, reporting records, and project artifacts in accordance with customer and organizational requirements.
  • ADVISE leadership on program performance trends, quality concerns, and operational improvement opportunities.
  • SUPPORT audit readiness, compliance monitoring, and corrective action tracking activities.
  • ASSIST with stakeholder engagement and coordination activities related to program execution.
  • OVERSEE action item tracking and follow-up activities resulting from executive meetings and governance reviews.
  • VALIDATE reporting accuracy and ensure alignment between operational activities and program objectives.
  • SUPPORT continuous improvement efforts associated with reporting processes, governance structures, and quality management procedures.
