Ascension LLC is seeking a Salesforce Business Analyst (Functional) to support a mission-critical federal program focused on enterprise CRM platform modernization and operational performance improvement. This role is essential in bridging business needs with technical Salesforce solutions, ensuring that stakeholder requirements are translated into scalable, user-centered system capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of business process analysis, Salesforce platform expertise, and federal consulting experience, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment supporting governance, platform teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
This position plays a critical role in helping the customer optimize customer relationship management processes, enhance data-driven decision-making, and improve mission delivery outcomes.
Position Summary
The Salesforce Business Analyst will support enterprise CRM initiatives by eliciting, analyzing, and translating business requirements into functional Salesforce solutions. This role requires a detail-oriented and strategic thinker who can navigate ambiguity, engage stakeholders, and drive outcomes across multiple workstreams.
The candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to both business and technical teams, ensuring that Salesforce capabilities align with operational goals and user needs. The role involves working across governance structures, supporting backlog prioritization, and contributing to continuous platform improvement.

Day-to-Day Activities
- Elicit business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and document analysis
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Analyze current-state CRM processes and recommend improvements aligned with Salesforce capabilities
- Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies with product owners and developers
- Develop process flows, use cases, and data models to support system design and enhancements
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams to ensure requirements are implemented accurately
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, working groups, and governance discussions
- Produce reports, dashboards, and briefing materials to support decision-making
- Monitor system performance, user feedback, and adoption metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Coordinate with governance and platform teams to ensure alignment across parallel workstreams
- Support testing activities including UAT planning, execution, and validation
- Document system configurations, business rules, and standard operating procedures
