Ascension is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented WBS & Schedule Integration Analyst to support federal cost estimation and program control initiatives. This role is critical to aligning cost estimates with program schedules through the development and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), enabling lifecycle cost integration and informed decision-making.
The ideal candidate is a structured thinker with strong experience in cost estimating, scheduling, and program controls, capable of translating complex project requirements into actionable frameworks. This individual will play a key role in ensuring cost, schedule, and technical baselines remain synchronized to support mission-critical federal programs.
Position Summary
The WBS & Schedule Integration Analyst supports the development, integration, and management of project cost and schedule artifacts across the program lifecycle. This role ensures that cost estimates are traceable to schedule activities through a well-defined WBS and integrated master schedule (IMS).
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work in structured and evolving environments, anticipate integration challenges, and provide data-driven insights that support program planning, budgeting, and execution. This role requires a professional who is proactive, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance with federal standards.
Leveraging tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Excel-based cost models, and potentially SEER or similar estimating tools, the analyst will support schedule integration, cost alignment, and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities / Day-to-Day Activities
- Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned to program scope and cost elements
- Integrate cost estimates with Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to ensure alignment across lifecycle phases
- Analyze schedule and cost data to identify risks, gaps, and inconsistencies
- Support development of cost estimation models and schedule baselines
- Perform schedule integration and validation across multiple project workstreams
- Collaborate with program managers, cost estimators, and technical teams to ensure alignment
- Develop reports, dashboards, and briefing materials to communicate cost/schedule performance
- Track milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities
- Support lifecycle cost integration and budget planning activities
- Ensure compliance with federal cost estimating and scheduling best practices
- Participate in Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings and provide analytical support
- Recommend process improvements to enhance cost and schedule integration
