Ascension LLC is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer (Technical Specialist III) to support a mission-critical DHS enterprise cloud and customer relationship management platform (ECCRMP) initiative. This role is central to designing, developing, and sustaining scalable Salesforce solutions that enable secure, high-performance customer engagement capabilities across the Department.

Position Summary

The Senior Salesforce Developer will lead the design, development, and optimization of Salesforce-based enterprise solutions supporting DHS mission operations. This role requires a detail-oriented, highly analytical, and self-driven professional capable of translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

The candidate will operate within an Agile delivery environment, supporting system enhancements, integrations, automation workflows, and performance optimization initiatives. The role requires the ability to anticipate technical challenges, proactively design solutions, and maintain compliance with federal security and performance standards.

Ascension’s work supporting DHS and other federal agencies includes application development, data integration, workflow automation, and enterprise system modernization, leveraging platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, and Salesforce .

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and mission requirements
• Develop custom Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce pages
• Configure Salesforce modules including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware solutions
• Optimize system performance to ensure throughput and SLA compliance
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Implement workflow automation using Flow, Process Builder, and Apex-based solutions
• Maintain data integrity, governance, and security controls across the platform
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide root cause analysis and resolution
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to refine requirements
• Support DevOps processes including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release management
• Document system architecture, configurations, and development artifacts
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team
