Ascension LLC is seeking a Senior Facilitator to lead high-impact stakeholder engagement, executive-level facilitation, and process improvement initiatives in support of transportation planning programs. This role is critical to ensuring that complex, multi-agency transportation initiatives are effectively coordinated, aligned, and executed through structured facilitation, data-driven decision-making, and organizational performance optimization.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and expert facilitator who thrives in dynamic environments, can engage senior leadership, and has a proven ability to translate complex program challenges into actionable solutions. This individual will play a key role in driving process improvements, stakeholder alignment, and program effectiveness across transportation-related initiatives.

Position Summary
The Senior Facilitator will provide expert-level facilitation, mediation, and organizational improvement support to transportation programs, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, agencies, and program objectives. The role requires the ability to design and lead executive-level meetings, facilitate complex discussions, and guide organizations through structured problem-solving and process improvement efforts.
This individual will support the client by developing as-is/to-be process maps, conducting training needs assessments, facilitating workshops, and driving performance optimization initiatives. The Senior Facilitator must be highly skilled in communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive coaching, with the ability to operate independently in ambiguous and high-visibility environments.
The ideal candidate brings a consultative mindset, is self-driven, and demonstrates the ability to anticipate challenges, develop solutions, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies, organizational change, and data-informed facilitation techniques is essential.
Key Responsibilities / Day-to-Day Activities
- Lead executive-level meetings, workshops, and facilitation sessions for transportation programs and initiatives
- Design and develop facilitation strategies, agendas, and engagement frameworks for multi-stakeholder environments
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, inter-agency coordination, and complex problem-solving sessions
- Develop as-is and to-be process maps to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Conduct training needs assessments, including data analysis and presentation of findings
- Prepare and deliver executive briefings, reports, and presentation materials for leadership decision-making
- Provide mediation and conflict resolution support across stakeholders and program teams
- Plan and execute facilitation activities in coordination with client leadership and program personnel
- Develop and deliver customized or off-the-shelf training programs aligned to organizational needs
- Support business process improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and performance optimization
- Analyze organizational workflows and recommend solutions to improve operational effectiveness
- Document meeting outcomes, action items, and recommendations to support program execution
- Collaborate with program managers, analysts, and technical teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals
