Ascension LLC is seeking a highly organized, client-facing Project Manager / Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery Lead to support a Cybersecurity Risk Assessment engagement for the Maryland Judiciary’s Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC).
This role is critical to ensuring successful coordination, execution, and delivery of two enterprise-level cybersecurity risk assessments aligned to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) .
The ideal candidate is a strategic coordinator and communicator who thrives in lean, remote, and non-continuous execution environments, and can effectively manage stakeholders across Project Management, Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC), and Information Security leadership.
This position is best suited for a professional who:
- Understands cybersecurity program environments (NIST CSF, risk assessments, compliance reviews)
- Can bridge technical teams and executive stakeholders
- Excels at driving deliverables, managing risk, and maintaining momentum in part-time engagements
Position Summary
The Project Manager / Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery Lead is responsible for coordinating all aspects of project execution across two cybersecurity risk assessments, ensuring alignment with client expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
This role supports a labor-hour, not-to-exceed engagement model with approximately 70 total hours across kickoff, coordination checkpoints, and deliverable reviews, requiring precision, efficiency, and strong prioritization skills.
The selected candidate will:
- Serve as the primary coordination point between Ascension and AOC stakeholders
- Manage project schedules, risks, issues, and communications
- Ensure draft and final deliverables meet quality and client expectations
- Support executive presentations and stakeholder engagement activities

Key Responsibilities / Day-to-Day Activities
- Coordinate project activities with JIS Project Manager, GRC team, and Information Security Officer
- Manage project schedule, milestones, and deliverable timelines across both assessments
- Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status meetings, and stakeholder briefings
- Track risks, issues, and mitigation strategies; escalate when necessary
- Oversee development, review, and submission of draft and final deliverables
- Support iterative review cycles and ensure incorporation of client feedback
- Maintain communication cadence across all stakeholders
- Prepare executive-level briefing materials and presentation logistics
- Ensure alignment between technical assessment outputs and client expectations
- Document meeting notes, action items, and decision logs
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs to support Executive and Technical Reports
- Support virtual presentation delivery of final assessment results
