Ascension LLC is seeking a mission-driven, detail-oriented Logistics Analyst (Journeyman) to support the United States Air Force (USAF), 608th Air Operations Center (AOC) at Barksdale AFB, LA.

This professional will provide logistics and operational analysis support to sustain 24/7 global command and control operations within the AOC Weapon System environment. The ideal candidate understands military operational logistics, configuration management, C4I environments, and lifecycle sustainment processes that directly impact mission readiness.

This role is critical to maintaining operational continuity of complex systems that enable global strike, command and control, and operational mission execution.


Position Summary

The Logistics Analyst (Journeyman) provides direct logistics and operational analysis support to the United States Air Force (USAF), 608th Air Operations Center (AOC), AOC Weapon System (WS) Program Office, located at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.

This position supports the 608 AOC WS Program Office’s mission to sustain, modernize, and maintain operational readiness of the Air Operations Center Weapon System, which enables 24/7 global command and control operations. The Logistics Analyst contributes to lifecycle sustainment planning, configuration management documentation, system upgrade tracking, downtime coordination, and asset accountability activities required to maintain AOC mission capability.

Working in coordination with the 608 AOC WS Program Office leadership, technical teams, and operational divisions, the Logistics Analyst ensures logistics processes, inventory controls, documentation standards, and system support activities comply with USAF directives and DoD lifecycle management policies. The role directly supports readiness reporting, audit traceability, and operational continuity within a classified environment.

The ideal candidate is a disciplined, detail-oriented professional capable of operating in a high-tempo military operations environment, anticipating sustainment risks before they impact mission performance, and translating logistics data into actionable insights for the 608 AOC WS Program Office.

Day-to-Day / Expected Activities

  • Analyze logistics data to ensure readiness and sustainment of AOC systems
  • Track system upgrades, maintenance windows, and downtime timelines
  • Coordinate lifecycle logistics support across multiple AOC functional divisions
  • Maintain configuration management documentation and asset accountability records
  • Support system validation events and operational exercises
  • Assist in developing logistics-related reports and briefings for AOC leadership
  • Monitor supply chain and inventory management processes
  • Conduct periodic audits and assist with inventory reconciliation
  • Document system configuration changes and submit required variance requests
  • Collaborate with network administrators, C4I personnel, and program managers
  • Support compliance with USAF and DoD logistics and configuration policies
